Job summary

AMSOIL INC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead 1st shift operations, drive safe, efficient, standardized production, and develop a high-performing team.

You will implement Leader Standard Work, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and CI teams to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.

Candidates should have at least 5 years in manufacturing, a technical or associate degree, and hands-on leadership experience.

  • Lean & continuous improvement knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities to safely meet quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
  • Execute Leader Standard Work through regular floor presence, tier meetings, KPI reviews, audits, and Gemba walks.
  • Monitor KPIs and production metrics, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Warehouse, Scheduling, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams to support efficient production flow.
  • Maintain visual management systems, KPI boards, and escalation processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.

Job description

AMSOIL INC. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead through systems, standard work, and continuous improvement on our 1st Shift.

This position is responsible for leading safe, efficient, and standardized production operations across assigned areas. The ideal candidate will be a visible floor leader who develops employees, reinforces process discipline, and uses Leader Standard Work, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.

Through strong floor leadership, effective resource coordination, and a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement, this role helps keep production on schedule while building an engaged and accountable team.

Scheduled hours:

1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

  • Minimum scheduled hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; however, the expected work schedule is 6:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. to allow time for daily preparation and a strong shift handoff. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.
What you will own:
Operations Leadership
  • Lead daily production activities to safely meet quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
  • Execute Leader Standard Work through regular floor presence, tier meetings, KPI reviews, audits, and Gemba walks.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and production metrics, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Warehouse, Scheduling, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams to support efficient production flow.
  • Maintain visual management systems, KPI boards, and escalation processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to eliminate recurring issues and drive sustainable improvements.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of production employees.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development activities.
  • Promote accountability through consistent application of standard work, work instructions, and operational expectations.
  • Foster a culture focused on employee engagement, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain employee attendance and timekeeping records while ensuring adequate staffing to meet production requirements.
Safety, Quality & Process Discipline
  • Lead by example and reinforce AMSOIL's commitment to safety and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, quality standards, and established operating procedures.
  • Audit adherence to standard work, SOPs, and control plans while providing coaching and follow‑up when gaps are identified.
  • Promote proactive problem solving and a culture focused on prevention rather than reactive firefighting.
  • Ensure housekeeping and area ownership standards are maintained through regular audits and employee accountability.
  • Support the reporting, investigation, and resolution of safety incidents, near misses, quality concerns, and improvement opportunities.
What you bring:
Position Requirements
  • Technical or Associate's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, standard work, process discipline, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience leading teams through problem‑solving and improvement initiatives.
  • Strong coaching, communication, interpersonal, and team development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information, prioritize work, and make sound business decisions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift certification.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States (or Canada if applicable) without current or future employer sponsorship.
