Job description

Production Process Engineer - Pendergrass, GA

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement shop floor process improvements for product assembly and testing;
  • Assist with the development and implementation of lean manufacturing methods;
  • Liaise with the Operations Manager, Supervisor or Lead, Logistics Manager, Logistics Supervisor or Lead, Production Planning department, and other Production Process Engineers;
  • Plan production requirements for the engine assembly line based on production levels;
  • Research, create, and maintain production material system documentation and production assembly BOM documentation (same as a technical writer);
  • Determine technical resources (tools, equipment, infrastructure) needed to accomplish engine assembly;
  • Research, determine, and implement plant floor layout and operational methods.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering;
  • 24 months of experience as a Mechanical Engineer;
  • 24 months of experience with (i) developing the design of c27/c32 caterpillar engines; (ii) participating in Pre-Delivery Audits regarding engine development; (iii) performing physical fit up trials of engine systems to validate design changes; and (iv) Bill of Materials (“BOM”).

Work hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.
