Job summary

Prime Controls in Dallas, TX seeks a Process Coordinator to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive efficiency across production lines. You will document workflows, support NPI, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires 1–2+ years in process engineering or industrial operations, with knowledge of ERP/MRP and lean methods. Occasional floor work and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • Education: An Associate, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or related experience).
  • Experience: 1-2+ years in process engineering, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning.
  • Understanding of Lean, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret data, document complex workflows, and manage competing priorities
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Primarily works in a manufacturing or industrial facility.
  • May require hands-on work on the production floor and occasional office tasks.
  • Requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime based on production demands.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, and improve manufacturing or operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develop and implement process control strategies to ensure consistency in production.
  • Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, R&D) to troubleshoot process issues.
  • Coordinate schedules, materials, purchase orders, maintenance, or deliveries relevant to production.
  • Conduct analysis for process failures and develop corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by developing and refining production processes.
  • Train operators and production staff on new or updated processes.

Overview

The Process Coordinator is responsible for analyzing and monitoring process performance, maintains documentation, resolves operational issues, and supports manufacturing or business processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance production workflows, troubleshoot issues, and enhance productivity.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

What You Will Bring

The Basic

  • Education: An Associate, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or related experience).
  • Experience: 1-2+ years in process engineering, manufacturing, or industrial operations.

  • Certifications: Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), Lean Manufacturing, PMP.
  • Industry Experience: Automotive, aerospace, electronics, contract manufacturing, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Experience with process validation, statistical process control (SPC), and DOE (Design of Experiments).
