Job summary

SDDI Signs in Minnesota specializes in large-format signage and turnkey production. We are seeking a Production Print Operator to run and maintain our digital printing equipment, manage materials, and keep production on schedule, delivering high-quality signage on time.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities spanning laminating, vinyl production, light assembly, packaging, and shipping.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating large-format digital printers preferred.
• Experience with signage, graphics, printing, manufacturing, or a related production environment.
• Experience with Canon Arizona/Colorado, Mimaki UJV55-320, or Mutoh printers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor large-format digital printing equipment to produce signage and graphics.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage printer supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels of inks, media, and other consumables.
• Review job paperwork and production requirements to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
• Update and maintain the electronic production schedule for assigned printers.
• Perform quality checks throughout the printing process and address issues as needed.
• Minimize material waste and maximize the efficient use of raw materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
• Assist with miscellaneous production needs.

Summary

We are seeking a Production Print Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining large-format digital printing equipment, managing print materials and production schedules, and ensuring high-quality, efficient output. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and productive work environment.

In addition to operating digital printers, this position will support various areas of the production process, including laminating, vinyl production, light assembly, packaging, crating, and shipping.

Essential Functions

• Operate and monitor large-format digital printing equipment to produce high-quality signage and graphics


• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance


• Manage printer supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels of inks, media, and other consumables


• Review job paperwork and production requirements to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects


• Update and maintain the electronic production schedule for assigned printers


• Perform quality checks throughout the printing process and identify or address issues as needed


• Minimize material waste and maximize the efficient use of raw materials


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area

Required Education & Experience

• Previous experience operating large-format digital printers is preferred


• Experience with signage, graphics, printing, manufacturing, or a related production environment is a plus
