Job summary

Nor-ell in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Packager/Wrapper to package materials for shipment. You will obtain and sort product, wrap protective material, and assemble cartons, supporting a smooth packaging line.

This role requires reading English, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Work is Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to read and understand English.
• Able to count and do simple math (primarily addition).
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to tolerate high heat and humidity while doing physical activity.
• Have free range of motion - bending, stooping, twisting, walking, balancing.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and sort product and wrap protective material around the product.
• Line and pad crates and assemble cartons.
• Inspect materials, products and containers at each step of the packaging process.
• Record information such as weight, time and date packaged.
• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products.
• Record product, packaging and order information on specified forms.
• Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them in designated areas.
• Seal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails and hand tools.
• Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.

The Packager/Wrapper packages materials and products to be sent to the customers.

The incumbent will work 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Some overtime work may be required.
