Job summary

BlueScope CPNA is seeking a Production Planner to create production schedules, balance workloads, and coordinate with manufacturing, customer service, and procurement to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.

Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, coordinating with procurement and supply chain, managing coil inventory, and using SAP to optimize throughput. A bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in production planning is required, with strong English communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in production planning in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience communicating across departments and driving production challenges.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate production planning to meet site capacity and issue run lists and amendments.
• Coordinate with procurement, customer service, supply chain to ensure material flow.
• Develop a production scheduling process to optimize machine capacity utilization.
• Forecast production schedules and adjust to changes (backlogs, unplanned events).
• Review shifts and allocate to production equipment based on throughput capacity.
• Work with management to plan workloads to meet output requirements.
• Schedule Delivery Assistance Requests (DARs) as needed to support orders.
