Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Production Planning Specialist to translate customer demand into a master schedule using SAP, while optimizing components and inventories. The role includes daily reporting, escalation of scheduling issues, and coordination of freight and supplier activities in a Tier One automotive context.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, strong ERP/MRP experience, and bilingual English/Korean abilities to liaise with global teams.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning Specialist:

• Translation of customer demands into a master planning schedule using SAP.
• Component planning and optimization.
• Management and minimization of inventory.
• Maintain / manage daily reporting of critical internal components including daily reporting to management team.
• Responding to and approving freight expedites when necessary.
• Completion of Headquarters requests as required. (planning and transportation)
• Oversee resolution of planning / scheduling issues.
• Responsible for coordinating physical inventory of raw components.
• ERP / MRP system / supplier maintenance.
• Responsible for coordination of part changes.
• Responsible for critical supplier management as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Working Knowledge and Implementation of ERP/MRP/OWMS/IWMS, scheduling.
• Working Knowledge of materials and transportation operation within a Tier One automotive supplier.
• Must be Bilingual English / Korean.

• Report injury or illness arising from workplace activities using the incident/injury reporting system as soon as possible after the incident

• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
