Production Planner

The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating the movement and storage of raw materials, finished products, and parts. This includes managing warehousing, shop, and delivery services to ensure materials are available and delivered as needed to meet production schedules. The role involves compiling data on order volume, production schedules, and forecasts, and applying statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain production planning schedules and adjust them as needed based on changes in demand or supply chain disruptions.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on production goals and material needs.
  • Ensure material availability and timely delivery to meet production schedules.
  • Compile and analyze data on order volumes, production schedules, and forecasts.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of company processes and customer needs.
  • Solve straightforward problems and analyze possible solutions using standard procedures and judgment.
  • Work within established guidelines and policies to ensure the quality of work.
  • Communicate information clearly to team members and other stakeholders in straightforward situations.
  • Lead the management of expedited and past due orders to meet customer and distributor needs.
  • Other projects or work as assigned.

What You Need To Succeed

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in production planning or a similar role. Requires expanded knowledge and experience in production planning or a related field.
  • Ability to build knowledge of company processes and customer needs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply statistical methods.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze possible solutions.
  • Good communication skills for explaining information to others.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate guidance and direction.
  • Understanding of key business objectives and how they relate to production planning.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Computer proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with visual management systems.
