Production Planner

Location: Crawfordsville, IN

Spartech, LLC is seeking a Production Planner to join our team in Crawfordsville, IN. Our Crawfordsville operation specializes in extruding and converting flat plastic sheets into various products, including license plates, signage, file folders, and packaging, often reusing scrap plastic to promote environmental sustainability.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with Product Engineering to ensure product quality and continuity.
2. Work with Customer Service to ensure accurate recording of information.
3. Determine the need for new dies, request them from Product Engineering, or distribute existing die drawings.
4. Prepare new quotes if the final process differs from the original.
5. Review Bills of Materials to ensure all necessary parts are ordered.
6. Plan converted, custom, and BOM jobs accurately, assigning materials, operations, and comments.
7. Maintain accurate records as per Industrial Engineering standards.
8. Follow all safety and plant rules and maintain good housekeeping.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in personal computer skills and Microsoft Office; ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to read die prints.
• At least five (5) years of experience in the Custom Products Division or equivalent manufacturing process experience.
• Knowledge of keyboard, calculator, basic math, and decimal/fraction conversions.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and independently.

• Must be able to work on-site.
