Open Opportunity: After a record-setting year in 2024, Shields Manufacturing seeks a Production Planner to manage production planning and work orders, acting as the lead planner in daily operations, advising management on work progress, material availability, and potential issues to meet customer needs.

Essential Duties:

• Review and process customer orders; create and release work orders.
• Communicate schedule disruptions and provide recovery plans.
• Assist in setting and measuring team KPIs and goals.
• Serve as the SME for planning functions and processes.
• Participate in daily cross-functional production meetings.
• Review inventory levels for make-to-stock items.
• Develop, document, and train on work procedures.
• Evaluate and process orders from Customer Service.
• Manage internal non-conforming materials.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review customer portal updates for delivery date changes.

Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree or relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of production planning experience in manufacturing.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of production planning practices and ERP systems, especially Syteline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Work Setting: Combination of office and occasional open environment with typical noise levels. Operates standard office equipment.
