Job summary

KeyTronic Oakdale, MN is seeking a Production Planner to collaborate with Program Managers, Production Managers, and Leads to schedule manufacturing orders and meet customer commit dates. Responsibilities include releasing orders, prioritizing schedules, and communicating plans across departments.

The role requires five plus years in production planning, familiarity with MRP and ISO requirements, and strong English communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five+ years of production planning experience.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and ISO procedures.
  • Proficient in Windows, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
  • Review customer orders and release orders to meet requirements.
  • Attend and help lead daily schedule meetings with Production and Management.
  • Prioritize schedules to optimize workflows and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate schedules to Production Manager, Leads, and Program Managers.
  • Drive to remove barriers affecting schedule completion and customer dates.
  • Ensure work-in-progress manufacturing accuracy (CMS and Aegis).
  • Coordinate actions to resolve material shortages with Production, Materials, and Purchasing.
  • Notify Program Managers and customers of misses, delays, and revised commit dates where applicable.
  • Follow and improve department work instructions; take on additional tasks as needed.

The environment is fast-paced, time pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building and production floor. Effectively communicate orally and written.WORK ENVIRONMENT The normal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubical setting with some areas that may be louder at times.
