Job summary

The Gleason Works in Rochester, NY is seeking a Production Planner I to develop and maintain production plans in SAP, supporting manufacturing and sales order demands. You will participate in projects and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities include planning in SAP, MRP processing, capacity planning support, and coordinating schedules with assembly, parts, and service teams. This role emphasizes SAP PP/DD proficiency, inventory control, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Four year or two year technical or business degree preferred.
• APICS CPIM preferred, required for advancement.
• Experience with SAP Demand Planning and Production Planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify short-, mid-, and long-term production plans in SAP.
• Process MRP and support capacity planning as directed.
• Coordinate schedules supporting machine assembly and service parts needs.
• Build stocking strategies with demand management and safety stock analysis.
• Support Engineering Change Orders and process improvements.
