Summary:
The MRP Planner / Scheduler I at Grandview, MO, reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for utilizing the plant MRP system to determine inventory needs and take appropriate actions to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze the plant MRP to identify necessary actions on orders.
- Collaborate with the plant supervisor and corporate production control to correct inventory errors in the MRP.
- Use MRP and IARR to release manufacturing orders to assembly departments, maintaining schedules and completing necessary updates.
- Receive and process customer and stock orders, releasing manufacturing orders to ensure on-time shipments.
- Review Engineering Change Requests and adjust inventory and purchase orders accordingly.
- Analyze purchased material requirements and release purchase orders based on this review.
- Expedite incoming materials to meet customer delivery requirements, coordinating between plants as needed.
- Work closely with sales, purchasing, and manufacturing facilities to meet production schedules.
- Respond to daily email expedites or cancellations and manage change order notices on electronic sales orders.
- Manage and supervise receiving and inspection personnel to uphold quality standards.
- Monitor order completion times and assist management in achieving on-time delivery goals.
- Strive for 100% on-time delivery performance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Analysis of plant MRP actions.
- Review and process Engineering Change Requests.
- Expedite incoming materials to meet delivery deadlines.
- Respond to email expedites or cancellations promptly.
- Monitor order completion and quality inspection timeliness.
Minimum Requirements:
- General secretarial, computer operation, and communication skills.
- Preferred: 2-year college degree or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze business documents and manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Work Conditions:
- Office environment with standard equipment.
- Narrow areas may pose maneuvering challenges.
- Work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with limited flexibility.
- No elevator access to the second floor.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
