Job summary

ZimZee Recruiting is seeking a Production Planner to develop, coordinate, and optimize production schedules that ensure efficient manufacturing operations, on-time customer deliveries, and appropriate inventory levels.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in manufacturing planning, strong MRP/ERP experience, and a track record of process improvements while collaborating with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and Sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or supply chain planning experience.
• Strong experience with MRP and ERP systems.
• Proven ability to develop and manage production schedules in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management, capacity planning, and demand forecasting principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, sales forecasts, inventory targets, and production capacity.
• Review customer orders and sales requirements to determine production feasibility and ensure on-time delivery commitments.
• Create and manage production orders within the ERP/MRP system to support customer and inventory requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, and Sales to ensure material availability and efficient production flow.
• Monitor inventory levels and production performance, making schedule adjustments to address shortages, bottlenecks, and changing priorities.
