Job summary

KEB America, Inc. in Shakopee, MN, is seeking a Planner to develop and manage the master production schedule for manufactured products, ensuring on-time delivery and target inventory levels.

You will apply knowledge of production specs, processes, materials, and planning tools to create feasible plans and monitor performance against plan. Key duties include scheduling material usage, evaluating supplier timeliness, identifying bottlenecks, forecasting market trends, and producing reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Engineering degree is a strong plus for industrial environments.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the master production schedule to meet delivery dates and inventory targets.
  • Schedule production materials to optimize levels and monitor material flow.
  • Identify bottlenecks, shortages, or supply issues and coordinate resolutions.
  • Forecast market challenges based on trends and competitor analysis.
  • Prepare reports on production performance and schedule adherence.
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

JOB SUMMARY

The Planner is responsible for planning and developing the master production schedule for manufacturing products to meet delivery dates and/or achieve inventory levels or other distribution goals. Utilizes knowledge of production specifications, manufacturing processes, materials availability, and application of mathematical planning tools to develop plan. Monitors status of production results and prepares reports on results against plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels
  • Evaluate suppliers timeliness and match according to goals
  • Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
  • Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
  • Forecast market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends
  • Address issues regarding quality and production
  • Produce reports based on findings and performance of production
  • Manage deadlines based on project expectations
  • Negotiate pricing as needed

Reports directly to VP Of Operations

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education / Experience
  • 4-Year in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related fields of study (or) equivalent amount of work experience.
  • Individuals with an engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering a strong plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • ERP system experience (SAP a plus)
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
