Job summary

Engineering Resource Group, Inc. seeks a Production Planner to support ruggedized electronic assemblies for defense programs. You will maintain the master shipping schedule, coordinate shortages, and serve as the liaison across planning, purchasing, receiving and production floors.

Candidates should have an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), 5+ years in engineering document control or production planning, ISO 9001:2015 knowledge, and strong MS Office with Excel for tracking.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering document control or production planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience expediting material shortages across purchasing, stockroom and receiving.
  • Experience releasing and revising controlled documents against open work orders.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.

  • Coordinate between stockroom and purchasing to identify, expedite and clear material shortages.
  • Publish the daily production and shipping status synopsis.
  • Set receiving and incoming inspection priorities against current production demand.
  • Serve as the coordination point between production planning, purchasing, receiving and the production floor.
  • Support implementation of engineering change notices and engineering change requests against open work orders.
  • Post revisions to planning records, release controlled documents and notify affected departments.
  • Generate status reports and charts for schedule analysis and follow-up.

  • Serve as the coordination point between production planning, purchasing, receiving and the production floor.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering document control or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience expediting material shortages across purchasing, stockroom and receiving.

  • Working knowledge of a documented quality system (ISO 9001:2015).
  • Strong MS Office skills, with Excel used for schedule and shortage tracking.
  • United States citizenship or permanent residency required.
  • MRP/ERP experience a plus.
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing concepts a plus.
