Job summary

Miller Industries is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate flow of work across departments and suppliers to meet schedules. You will track production orders, maintain records, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires familiarity with LN software, strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel/Word. On-site position with opportunities for career advancement and development.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates Production Closing Issues/Inventory/Shortages
  • Updating movements on the Schedule of closed units and production orders daily and other Excel Spreadsheets
  • Ensures system integrity through maintenance of system records, work orders and purchase orders.
  • Reports on time delivery information and other reports as required.
  • Responsible for Month End Inventory Yard Count
  • Verifies and manages SBU unit count/S1 Report/Completed not Closed/Zero Report for Month End Accounting Reports
  • Responsible for Closing Production Orders with completed units and making the necessary adjustments to the schedule.
  • Setting up Planer Codes for New Items within LN system.
  • Analyze reports and investigate system shortages/BOM/inventory issues.
  • Assist in the resolution of MRP and Planning discrepancies.
  • Determines progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
  • Improve production through application of innovative ideas and projects.
  • Other duties as needed.

Summary

The Production Planner will coordinate flow of work within or between departments and suppliers of the manufacturing facility to meet customer schedules and internal goals by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Investigates Production Closing Issues/Inventory/Shortages

Education And Experience

One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Intermediate level experience with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
