Job summary

Haleon plc. is hiring for a Production Planning role at the Guayama site. You will manage production and inventory for assigned products, develop monthly master production schedules, and coordinate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, Forecasting and Finance.

Strong planning, analytical and cross-functional communication skills are essential. The role requires 7+ years in manufacturing material management and 3 years in pharmaceutical production planning, with APICS/Lean Six Sigma

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Engineering or Science.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related manufacturing material management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct production planning experience in pharmaceutical environment.
  • APICS certifications.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification.
  • Spanish and English proficiency (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of cGMP.
  • Strong experience/knowledge in MRP, SCIMS, Manugistics and RCS.
  • Strong knowledge of production and capacity planning, shop floor control, distribution planning and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Receives/analyzes demand for FG forecast and inventory levels, incorporate in MPS, and develops the Master Production Schedule, ensuring that demand, inventory targets, and production loading are adequately balanced.
  • Serves as a liaison between external customers and other groups at the Guayama site. Leads discussion at Pre-S&OP & S&OP for the assigned skus. Develops the capacity analysis as part of the MPS process and insuring work centers/resources optimization.
  • Continuously monitors product performance against indicators and coordinates the activities and projects to improve them on a continuous basis.
  • Actively participate and support Operations Tier 2 meeting and Supply Chain Tier 1 meetings.
  • Prepares/supports monthly services level reports, backorder reports, inventory reports and any other report as needed.
  • Prepares the detailed monthly/weekly production plan to ensure it supports the MPS and inventory expectation of each of the assigned products.
  • Responsible for analyzing and identifying areas of improvement and projects related to innovative ideas. Leads and monitors implementation and overall coordination.
  • Monitors schedule adherence and implements changes in accordance to priority changes and/or schedule delays including validation and trials.

About the role

This role is responsible for managing the production and inventory of assigned products, ensuring high service levels and product availability while maintaining inventory within approved investment targets. The position plans and balances production schedules to meet customer demand, optimize plant resources, and maximize work center capacity. Additionally, it develops and releases monthly master production schedules and weekly production plans, while coordinating and communicating key information across cross‑functional teams including Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, Forecasting, and Finance.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Engineering or Science. Special courses, workshops or seminars related to Materials Management.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related manufacturing material management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct production planning experience in pharmaceutical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS certifications
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification
  • Spanish and English proficiency (oral and written)
  • Knowledge of cGMP
