Job summary

Quality Packaging Systems (Qual Pac) is seeking a Production Planner to plan, schedule, coordinate and monitor the flow of products through the full production cycle. This role focuses on meeting internal financial goals and customer delivery dates with a bias for detail and reliability.

The position runs 8 am–5 pm, offering a pay range of $55,000–$65,000 based on experience. Ideal candidates will have manufacturing knowledge, strong organizational skills, and effective communication in English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of production control experience required.
• Experience with SupplyNet or Plex preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English; bilingual English/Spanish a plus is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue and maintain production schedules to meet production requirements.
• Schedule production lines, confirm material supply, and issue work orders based on a master production schedule.
• Track inventory accuracy and participate in production meetings; communicate schedule changes promptly.
• Resolve scheduling issues with internal teams to maintain high inventory accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving to hit 99% targets.

Production Planner

This position plans, schedules, coordinates and monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. This position also provides planning and scheduling of production lines to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. The ideal candidate must have a bias for detail and exceeding expectations.

Hours: 8 am - 5 pm

Pay: $55k-65k (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, issues and maintains production schedules and tracks material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
• Schedules all production line, confirms material supply and demands, and prepares work orders or purchase requests based on a master production schedule.
• Reviews and track internal status of inventory.Requirement is 99% inventory accuracy. Participate in production meetings and communicate schedule changes in a timely manner.
• Acts with internal teams to promptly resolve any scheduling issues and maintaining 99% inventory accuracy.
• Works closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving. Goal is to maintain 99% inventory accuracy, 99% production rate and 99% ship/fill rate.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Analytical skills required for determining priorities, lead times, and production floor schedules
• Ability to clearly express oneself verbally and in writing in the English language using good grammar and vocabulary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include strong presentation, project and organizational skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus but not required.
• Strong computer skills including operating Windows based personal computers and using Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel (intermediate level or higher)
• Bias for results, goal oriented, and proven experience working with a team to achieve excellence.
• Strong attention to detail skills.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in production control is required.
• Experience in Supplynet is preferred.
• Experience in Plex is preferred.
