Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules.
  • Convert orders and forecasts into executable production plans.
  • Balance demand with plant capacity and resources.
  • Adjust schedules as conditions change.
  • Communicate priorities, changes, risks, and recovery plans.
  • Monitor inventory to minimize shortages and waste.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Warehousing, and Logistics.
  • Develop planning reports and KPI dashboards.

SoulShine Farms is seeking an experienced Production Planner to develop production plans and schedules that meet customer demand while supporting plant efficiency, inventory goals, product freshness, and profitability. This role connects Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Plant Operations, Warehousing, Logistics, Finance, and Supply Chain leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules.
  • Convert customer orders and demand forecasts into executable production plans.
  • Balance customer demand with plant capacity, labor, raw-material availability, inventory needs, and operating constraints.
  • Adjust schedules when demand, staffing, equipment, or supply conditions change.
  • Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, risks, and recovery plans.
  • Monitor finished-goods and work-in-process inventory to help minimize shortages, excess inventory, waste, aging, and obsolescence.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure ingredients, packaging, labels, and raw materials are available.
  • Partner with Warehousing and Logistics to support product movement, storage, and customer commitments.
  • Develop planning reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards and recommend improvements based on performance trends.
Required Qualifications
  • At least five years of experience in production planning, supply chain planning, operations planning, scheduling, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of production-scheduling and inventory-management principles. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP, planning, inventory, or production systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, project-management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to changing conditions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate across departments without direct authority.
  • Ability to hear, speak, read, and comprehend communications in English.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food manufacturing, poultry processing, high-volume production, demand planning, capacity planning, multi-facility operations, or continuous improvement.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
Work Environment

This position is based in Gainesville, Georgia with occasional travel between production facilities. The role also requires periodic visits to manufacturing areas and use of required personal protective equipment.
