Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace, a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, seeks a Production Planner for its 1st shift in South Windsor, CT. You will manage production schedules, release work orders, and coordinate with work centers to ensure on-time delivery.

You will leverage Visual Manufacturing ERP, analyze capacity, and monitor inventory levels in a fast-paced environment. This role requires ITAR/EAR compliance and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of production scheduling processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP workflows and capacity planning.
• Proficient with MS Office and reporting tools.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Control the flow of work throughout manufacturing, releasing and monitoring work orders.
• Review customer schedules to prioritize and release work orders.
• Expedite parts to keep production moving and coordinate with all business areas.
• Manage capacity in responsible areas to ensure adequate staffing.
• Control inventory including finished goods and WIP.
• Ensure work centers have updated schedules and monitor compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

About the Opportunity:

The Production Planner position is responsible for a variety of analytical and administrative duties within the designated cells, in conjunction with creating and releasing job orders through the ERP (Visual) system.

Location:South Windsor, CT
This role is onsite 100% of the time. 1st shift Monay - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Control the flow of work throughout manufacturing, release and monitor work orders throughout the manufacturing cycle and act as a liaison between work centers and the customer to ensure on-time delivery of product.
• Review customer schedules to prioritize and release work orders
• Expedite parts throughout the manufacturing process acting as liaison between all arears of the business to keep parts moving toward completion.
• Manage capacity in responsible areas to ensure adequate staffing is maintained
• Responsible for control of inventory including finished goods and WIP
• Ensure work centers have updated schedules and monitor compliance
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in related field and two (2) years of related experience
• Knowledge of production scheduling processes in a manufacturing environment
• Computer skills including fluency with Microsoft Office Products
• Knowledge of MRP Systems
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• Five (5) years of related experience
• Ability to perform multiples tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with tremendous sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability
• Prior knowledge of Visual Manufacturing ERP a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Frequently required to talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color vision.
