Job summary

Premier Global Links LLC seeks an experienced Production Planner to manage scheduling in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment. You will develop production plans, coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Distribution, and monitor capacity to meet customer demand.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in production planning, strong MRP knowledge, and proven analytical and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Production Planner or in a similar manufacturing planning role.
  • 1+ year of experience in metal manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP, production planning, inventory, and supply chain principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive production deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, materials, and lead times.
  • Coordinate production activities with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Distribution teams.
  • Monitor production performance and identify scheduling issues, capacity constraints, and bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Work with Sales to forecast demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
  • Determine outsourcing requirements based on plant capacity and product lead times.
  • Monitor production orders for accuracy and ensure schedules remain achievable.
  • Participate in production planning and scheduling meetings to resolve conflicts and improve plant performance.
  • Analyze production data and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Regularly evaluate production performance and adjust plans to improve efficiency, productivity, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate planning records and production documentation.

About the Role

Required Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

$70,000-$80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
