Production Planner (Finance)



For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000 - $140,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date), opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.

Position Summary

A Production Planner II is responsible for maintaining the production schedules to guide production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency whilst meeting the output and timeline targets. The Production Planner II role gathers data from other departments to ensure resource availability for orders to align with delivery commitments, and is responsive to changes in flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule
  • Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved
  • Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
  • Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
  • Issuing and updating Production Job tickets in alignment with project plans
  • Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
  • Capacity analysis and requirement review
  • Manage MRP exception messages from ERP and communicate with appropriate personnel
  • Report out metrics for key performance indicators and monitor their use
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or Supply Chain related field required; Relevant job experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • APICS Membership - CPIM, or CSCP Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 Years of Experience in Production and Scheduling, or related role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience using ERP systems such as JDE, Oracle, SAP, Acumatica or similar, and MRP
  • Math and Analytical Skills
  • Project Management Experience
  • Attune to the needs of internal customers, and work well in a team environment
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive person who adapts to change with urgency and persistence
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management skills to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards required
