Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production support, coordination, or scheduling role within electronics manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems for production tracking and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interface across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for prototype builds.
  • Coordinate and track daily production activities to meet build schedules and timelines.
  • Partner with program management, purchasing, engineering, and quality to ensure component availability and WIP control.
  • Create and maintain production travelers, work orders, and job packets for builds.
  • Monitor WIP and provide status updates to stakeholders including program management and engineering.
  • Communicate build priorities and changes to production and leadership.
  • Ensure ERP/MRP systems reflect production status, completions, and material usage.
  • Support ECO implementation and distribution of updated documentation.
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering to ensure ISO 9001 and IPC-A-610 compliance.
  • Track production metrics such as on-time delivery, yield, rework, and throughput.
  • Manage hazardous waste handling in the workspace.

Production Planner

The Production Planner is responsible for managing production schedules and coordinate material and resource planning for the Prototype Department. This role requires balancing multiple short-run, fast-turnaround projects while working closely with engineering, procurement, production and quality teams to meet customer expectations and internal deadlines. The position requires a strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Our Facility in Appleton, WI manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense as well as Industrial and Medical Industries.

Standard Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for prototype builds, ensuring on-time delivery in alignment with customer requirements and engineering timelines.
  • Coordinate and track daily production activities to meet build schedules and customer delivery timelines.
  • Partner with program management, purchasing, engineering, and quality to ensure timely availability of components, completion of WIP and control of supporting documentation.
  • Create and maintain production travelers, work orders, and job packets for builds.
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) on the production floor and provide status updates to internal stakeholders, including program management and engineering.
  • Communicate build priorities and job changes directly to production and leadership.
  • Ensure ERP/MRP systems are updated accurately with production status, job completions, material usage, and inventory adjustments.
  • Support implementation and tracking of engineering change orders (ECOs), ensuring all affected documentation is properly updated and distributed.
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC-A-610).
  • Assist in tracking production metrics, including on-time delivery (OTD), yield, rework, and throughput.
  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in employee’s work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
