Summary
The Production Picker will organize and maintain the staging of incoming procured parts and in-house finished components toward a kitted assembly. Working with partners in production in a fast-paced environment includes: machine shop, welding, fabrication, procurement, and warehouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for the movement of parts, materials, and information throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.
2. Communicate the completion of the kitting of an item to the assembly manager, obtain an assembly schedule, update Excel spreadsheets, and follow up on schedule.
3. Break down drawings of assembly orders, determine shortages, submit procurement requests to purchasing, submit fabrication requests to machine shop, and follow up on lead times from internal department leads as well as outside vendors.
4. Process incoming parts to their planned destination, including staging for customer orders or to inventory storage locations. Record receipts in QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets.
5. Ensure finished goods are delivered to their final destination in a timely manner.
6. Communicate verbally with management any delays, postponements, or issues affecting the delivery date of a part, and record this in Excel spreadsheets.
7. Maintain accurate status updates and tracking of parts, both verbally and by updating Excel status sheets daily.
8. Pull inventory from shelving locations to stage for customer orders or process for shipping.
9. Pack outgoing orders for shipping, protecting products from damage during transit.
10. Immediately communicate inventory shortages and inaccuracies to management.
11. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized warehouse.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word.
3. 3+ years of manufacturing and warehousing experience.
4. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
5. Excellent organizational skills.
6. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
7. Experience operating forklifts and other material management equipment.
