Job summary

Sauer Brands, Inc. is seeking a Packer to efficiently pack finished products into shipping cases and pass them through a tape machine into the warehouse. You will verify boxes, monitor film and tape systems, and keep accurate downtime records.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to stand for long shifts, and physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs. Training emphasizes quality, punctuality, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Machine Operating Experience preferred.
• Must be detail orientated.
• Able to walk & stand during most all of a 10 hour shift.
• Quality driven, Self-motivated, and willing to learn.
• Dependable & punctual.
• Physical Capacities: Able to lift 30 lbs.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Pack finished product into shipping cases and pass through tape machine for conveying into Warehouse.
• Ensure necessary materials are available (clipboard, downtime sheet, schedule, towels, gloves, pen).
• Assist Filler Operator with monitoring film rolls and notify when low.
• Identify/verify correct box for each product.
• Monitor tape machine and printer; report issues immediately.
• Keep belt clean and wipe down if machine is down.
• Report any quality defects (oily, greasy, leaking product; misaligned film or lidding; wrong boxes).
• Correct or rework out-of-spec product as instructed by supervisor or operator.
• Maintain legible paperwork and complete downtime sheet.
• Keep work areas orderly and clean.

Job Summary

The Packer position packs finished product into shipping cases, passes them through a tape machine for conveying into the Warehouse.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that all necessary materials needed to perform the position are accounted for. This includes, but is not limited to, clip board, production downtime sheet, schedule, paper towels, rubber gloves, writing implement.
• Help the Filler Operator monitor film rolls on both front and rear of machine. Notify operator when film is getting low.
• Be able to identify/verify you have the correct box for each product.
• During the shift, monitor the tape machine and printer to ensure both are working correctly. If not, notify the Filler Operator immediately.
• Keep the belt clean during shift. If machine is down, wipe off the belt.
• Notify Filler Operator of any quality defects. This includes, but is not limited to: oily, greasy, and leaking product. Misaligned film or lidding. Defective or wrong boxes, trays, and pads.
• Correct or rework any out of spec (but correctable) product or packages as instructed by your operator or supervisor.
• All paperwork must be legible; all down time must be accounted for on the downtime sheet.
• Keep work areas orderly and clean.
