Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is hiring a Production Painter to apply industrial paint finishes onto metal products using a spray gun. The role operates Sunday night through Friday morning, 10pm–6am, with potential overtime.

Compensation starts at $23.82 per hour plus a $2 shift differential, reflecting night shift pay and benefits as part of a comprehensive package. The position emphasizes hands-on work, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a collaborative production

Responsibilities

• Load, feed, and unload material through the paint process.
• Operate spray painter gun to apply industrial paint finish on material.
• Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools.
• Safely lift and position materials using cranes and forklifts.
• Perform quality checks to ensure correct paint thickness and touch up as needed.
• Ensure materials are labeled and scanned on exiting paint line.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Maintain material inventory and support housekeeping and 5-S standards.

Under general supervision, the Production Painter applies industrial paint finishes onto metal products through spray gun application. Pay for this position is $23.82 and will include a $2 shift differential. Hours are Sunday night-Friday morning 10pm-6am with some OT Required.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and Shape: Load, feed, and unload material through paint process & Operate spray painter gun to apply industrial paint finish on material
• Prepare and Set Up: Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools.
• Lift and Position Materials: Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed.
• Ensure Quality: Complete quality checks to ensure the correct thickness of paint is properly applied to material throughout the process and touch up as needed & Ensure materials are properly labeled and scanned upon exiting paint line
• Contribute to Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Maintain and Organize: Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices.
