Description

Kalahari Manufacturing is a division of Kalahari Resorts & Conventions which acts as our theming company. The “Kalahari Theme Shop” - located next to our corporate headquarters in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin - is key to our success and what helps our brand stand out. Our 20,000 square foot complex houses a plethora of modern technology pieces. The fully commercial metal shop has all the resources needed for our artists to create all our scenic needs. Also included is a full carpentry shop, 3-D modeling computer workstations, foam cutting and carving station featuring laser engraving capabilities, full paint shop, modern welding machinery, full vinyl fabrication equipment and UL certified sign shop.

In this role you will prepare and paint surfaces as needed to meet project deadlines while adhering to the quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
  • Select and mix paint colors to match specifications and ensure consistency.
  • Apply paint, varnishes, and other coatings using spray guns, brushes, and other techniques.
  • Meet or exceed production deadlines while adhering to the quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage of paint and equipment.

Requirements

  • We require that you have a background, consisting of 5 years’ proven experience as a production painter or a similar role.
  • Additionally, you will need knowledge of painting equipment and mixing paint products.
