Job summary

Sportsfield Specialties is seeking a hands-on Painter to join our production team at our NY2 location. This role is on the 2nd shift, with 1st shift opportunities also available.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible with scheduling, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, operating powder coat equipment and spray booth, entering data into ERP, and performing painting tasks to meet product specifications.

  • Maintain and operate powder coat equipment and spray booth as needed
  • Enter accurate data into production ERP system
  • Sand, polish, wash, dry and apply powder coat to product specifications
  • Operate ovens and measure/monitor temperatures per product specifications
  • Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes to move paint carts and supplies
  • Maintain proper respirator care/operation
  • Weigh paint for accurate costing
  • Become efficient with painting techniques to meet quality and efficiency needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with the required procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain and operate powder coat equipment and spray booth as needed.
  • Enter accurate data into production ERP system.
  • Sand, polish, wash, dry and apply powder coat to products specifications.

Experience/Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Hours
  • Monday Thursday: 2:30pm to 1:00am (10-hour shift).
  • Monday Friday: 6:00am to 2:30pm (8-hour shift).

Starting pay: $19/hour, the starting pay indicated represents the minimum pay for the position. The starting pay may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the positions qualifications, and internal equity. The posted starting pay reflects just one component of our total benefit/rewards package.
