Job summary

ContiTech USA, LLC in Kansas is hiring Production Operators across all shifts to support the two largest plant expansions in our history. Join a growing manufacturing operation and help produce high-quality conveyor belting for agricultural, industrial, and specialty applications.

You will operate presses, calenders, finishing equipment, and related processes, following safety, quality, and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery while ensuring precision and efficiency. Report issues promptly to Department Head or Supervisor.
• Accurately complete daily production reports on productivity, quality holds, material usage and movement.
• Adhere to safety protocols, policies, and internal procedures; seek clarification when needed.
• Contribute to knowledge of work orders, products, and processes; participate in safety, quality, productivity and cost-saving initiatives.

THE POSITION

We are seeking motivated Production Operators to join our team across all shifts. We are hiring multiple team members as we prepare for the two largest plant expansions in our location’s history. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturing operation and be part of the team supporting our continued growth.

Production Operators play an important role in manufacturing high-quality conveyor belting products used in agricultural, industrial, and specialty applications. Depending on your assigned area, you may work on presses, calenders, finishing equipment, or other production processes while following established safety, quality, and production standards.

Hiring For All Shifts

• 1st A: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
• 1st B: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Tuesday–Friday
• 2nd A: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• 2nd B: 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM, Monday–Thursday
• 3rd: 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday Work 7 hours, paid for 8
• 4th: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturday–Monday

Your Tasks

• Operate machinery while ensuring the highest levels of precision and efficiency. Report issues promptly to your Department Head or Supervisor using established communication channels.
• Accurately complete daily production reports, including those related to productivity, quality control holds, material usage, and material movement.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, corporate policies, and internal procedures. Seek clarification from your Department Head or Supervisor when needed.
• Actively participate in enhancing your knowledge of work orders, products, and processes. Contribute to safety, quality, productivity, and cost-saving initiatives. Take part in internal and external training opportunities.

THE ENVIRONMENT

• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety shoes that are composite or steel toe at all times. Other required PPE includes, but is not not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection and hand protection.
• The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
• The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

• Intermediate computer skills required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Strong attention to detail is critical, as defects in cured products can be challenging to repair.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to teamwork and a desire to contribute to the company’s growth and success.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
