Job summary

Continental is hiring a Production Worker 1 in Wahpeton, ND to operate machinery, assemble products and monitor quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will follow safety protocols, document results, participate in 5S housekeeping, and work with teammates to hit daily production targets and continuous improvement goals.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred; candidates should be able to stand most of the shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate clearly.

How You Will Make an Impact

The Production Worker 1 is responsible for performing various tasks in the production process, including operating machinery, assembling products, and ensuring quality standards are met. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery according to company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assembly: Assemble products or components accurately and efficiently, following detailed instructions and blueprints.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Report any issues to the supervisor.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Documentation: Complete all required paperwork and computer entries accurately and on time.
• Housekeeping and 5S Implementation: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to the principles of 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). This includes regular cleaning, organizing tools and materials, ensuring workspaces are free of clutter, and following established procedures to maintain these standards consistently.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Communicate clearly and professionally.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in training and development opportunities. Suggest and implement process improvements.

Qualifications
