Job description

Shift: This role is 3rd Shift, 10:00 PM-6:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $23.25 an hour

ConAgra Brands is one of the largest food producers in North America. The Milton, PA location has produced Chef Boyardee for over 80 years, as well as store brand pasta in cans and microwave bowls. The Milton plant is the largest cannery in the ConAgra family and is one of the largest in the United States. The facility currently employs 500 hourly team members over three shifts.

This role REQUIRES that you be able to work all shifts.

NOTE: Candidates hired based on company need and will be placed into all 3 shifts, as needed.

Positions will be required to perform a range of tasks which can include production labor, operating machinery for canning production, product labeling, fork lift or other powered industrial machine. These positions may perform sanitation to USDA standards.

Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. To successfully perform this job, an individual must:

  • have the desire to work safely and learn all safety and quality standards
  • be knowledgeable of safe lifting techniques, as well as an ability to understand and follow safe standard working procedures
  • have the ability and willingness to follow instructions.
  • must be able to work ALL shifts. All days of the week (Mon – Sun), and overtime.
  • Be able to communicate orally and/or in writing at a level to effectively complete the tasks of this position.
  • Be physically able to perform the work-see below
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

Team members must be able to do a variety of tasks. All tasks require some degree of physical activity, including but not limited to pushing, pulling and shoveling, standing, walking, and limited bending, stooping and lifting weights up to 50+ pounds. Some tasks require climbing and twisting. Working conditions generally include exposure to heat up to 115 F, humidity, steam, wet floors and high noise levels.

Must be able successfully complete a background check and drug screen, if offered a job.
