Overview

The Production Operator Blender uses equipment such as a dolly to load, unload, and transport materials, assisting with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line.

This position is labor-intensive, requiring manual labor and a steady work pace to support continuous production. Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled environment, with activities both indoors and outdoors.

The current schedule involves 12-hour shifts, rotating from day to night every 2 weeks. One week has 3 scheduled days, followed by a week with 4 scheduled days.

Overtime is scheduled as needed.

Starting pay is $19.00/hr., progressing to over $22.00/hr. within the first year.

Responsibilities

Gain thorough knowledge of all operating and safety procedures. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

• Transport samples, raw materials, and supplies.
• Transport product using a hand dolly and powder van (truck).
• Maintain operating logs, prepare labels, and record information accurately.
• Operate pneumatic and other required tools.
• Operate hoisting equipment.
• Participate in Hazmat/Fire Brigade activities.
• Drive tractor-trailer rigs to move NC trailers and perform other assigned tasks.
• Bend, climb stairs and ladders, reach above shoulder level.
• Perform repetitive pushing, trucking of up to 210 pounds, and lifting of up to 55 pounds.
• Demonstrate finger, hand, and physical dexterity.
• Work 12-hour shifts, rotating from day to night every 14 days.
• Perform all job requirements in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Work weekends and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma, or ability to pass the Work Keys Skills Test.
• Ability to communicate, read, and write effectively.
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
• Dependability, with a good work and attendance record.
• Physical dexterity to operate equipment and instrumentation.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Capability to pass task certifications and powder van driving tests.
