Job summary

Silfab Solar in Fort Mill, South Carolina is seeking a Production Operator I to safely operate assigned machines, assemble and test components, load materials, and contribute to quality production.

You will follow SWI, maintain clean workstation, perform simple electrical testing, and ensure compliance with policies. High school diploma required; production experience preferred; strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Production experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow English work instructions.

Summary of Position

As a Production Operator I, you will operate your assigned position or task safely and efficiently to optimally produce quality work. This may include the placement and testing of electrical components, cleaning of finished products, or loading of raw materials into machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines according to position Standard Work Instructions (SWI)
  • Clean and prepare workstation and machines.
  • Assemble and test components and ensure adherence to specified requirements.
  • Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts, and systems.
  • Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies.
  • Check final assembly for finish, labelling, and packaging methods.
  • Complete other tasks as required and/or directed.
  • Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Skills
  • Hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions in English.
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Soldering experience is an asset.

  • Ability to lift objects less than 25 pounds and team lift objects approximately 60 pounds.
