As a Production Operator at Avient, you'll set up and operate equipment to blend, mix, or transport chemicals that make up our customer products, ensuring high quality and cost efficiency. Responsibilities include machine maintenance, quality control, data recording, and supporting the company's vision and principles while adhering to safety and regulatory rules.

Essential Duties:

• Set up, start, and run machinery
• Weigh ingredients to meet specifications and ensure correct delivery
• Insert pre-blended materials into machinery
• Monitor production and troubleshoot issues
• Operate machinery to handle materials
• Take samples for lab evaluation and adjust batches as needed
• Perform machine cleaning
• Document work including logs and reports

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Preferred: experience in industrial operations
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
• Mathematical skills for measurements and conversions

Physical Demands:

• Extended standing, sitting, talking, and listening
• Walking, manual dexterity, bending, climbing
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Work in noisy manufacturing environments
• Use of PPE such as glasses, shoes, hearing protection, hard hats, respirators
• Exposure to weather, heat, humidity, dust, fumes
