Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. seeks a production team leader to prepare the floor for daily output, monitor hourly production, and ensure process accuracy and quality. You will train team members, oversee shifts, and drive improvements while maintaining 6S safety standards.

The role emphasizes coaching, conflict resolution, and effective communication with stakeholders, including shift start meetings and handoffs. A strong teamwork mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create a positive teamwork atmosphere through work ethics and habits.
  • Ability to coach and develop production associates when needed.
  • Conflict management and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of computers and programs (SAP, Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the production floor for daily production.
  • Monitors hourly/daily production.
  • Review production processes for accuracy and quality requirements.
  • Train/maintain training of team member in processes.
  • Monitors team members or production machines for improvement suggestions.
  • Communicate with associates, supervisors and other key business stakeholders effectively including start of shift meetings, shift turnover communication ex. reports/emails.
  • Assist with material loading and unloading as necessary from PIT equipment.
  • May be required to stock lines as needed.
  • Assists production operators as necessary.
  • Meets area KPI metrics as assigned by area.
  • Assists in training associates as needed and offers feedback on performance issues.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area through 6S standards.
  • May plan and organize the execution of daily schedule and staffing needs.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area.
  • Works through conflicts efficiently.
  • Coaches and addresses policies and procedures.

  • Associates can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of posting date.
  • Associates cannot have less than 17 hours of UTO.
  • Associates must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
  • Team leader bids are not cell specific. Production Managers will assign based on production requirements.
  • Interested temporary associates can bid and will have the opportunity to become permanent based on their performance but will only be considered if the roles are not filled by a current Moen associ
