• Check material status and request more materials as needed.
• Inform supervisor/lead of machine problems.
• Clean machines and work areas; perform sanitation duties.
• Fill and empty color and virgin hoppers; segregate scrap material.
• Cover for absences/vacations on other shifts as needed.
• Follow GMP guidelines and document all machine activity.
• Assist in cap reintroduction and quality holds.
• Follow safety rules and complete required documentation.

POSITION SUMMARY

• To help operate lining and molding equipment assigned by supervisor. To properly assist in performing order, color and material changes and machine start-ups/shut-downs. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Verifies raw materials comply with work requirements;
• Helps perform color changes; notifies supervisor of color change status;
• Informs supervisor/lead of substandard production quality;
• Checks material status and calls for more materials if necessary;
• Informs supervisor/lead of machine problems.
• Cleans machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc., clean filers, scheduled sanitation duties;
• Fills and empties color and virgin hoppers;
• Segregates scrap material;
• Covers for absences/vacations on other shifts;
• Follows all GMP guidelines;
• Assist in cap reintroduction.
• Audits and sorts product that has been put on Quality Hold.
• Adheres to all safety rules and procedures;
• Completes all necessary documentation for all assigned machines. Follow manufacturing Work Order

(BOM);

• Builds totes.
• Hand stack cartons when necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervision/Management.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attends Green Area Meetings;
• Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures;
• Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions;
• Sorts through and visually inspects rejected cartons;
• Backup: Mold Technician.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent;
• Good verbal and written skills.

EXPERIENCE

• Mechanical aptitude required.
