Production Operator

Ourclient is looking for a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Production Operator to be part of our growing team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Properly load cartons and dividers into former machine
• Monitor forming process and dispose of any incorrectly formed cartons following disposal/recycling guidelines
• Bail scrap cardboard during and at the end of the scheduled shift
• Safe operation of bailer equipment
• Remove banding from cardboard stacks and dispose of strapping using appropriate methods of disposal
• Monitor and comply with all requirements to eliminate carton waste
• Perform quality checks including entering data into computer software proficiently
• Maintain clean, safe, and efficient workstations – dispose of trash in correct disposal methods (cardboard recycling, area cleanliness including used rag recycling).
• Ability to start equipment and identify basic mechanical issues
• Support all changeover requirements of commodity product
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum of high school degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience
• Ability to stand and walk for periods of time
• Able to work scheduled overtime or shift changes when required
• Able to lift to 50 pounds periodically throughout the manufacturing shift and meet physical requirements of position including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, reaching with both hands/arms, ability to visually inspect product
• Basic math skills
• Excellent communication skill set (verbal, written, etc.)
• Mechanically inclined to perform minor machine corrections within job responsibilities
