Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is seeking motivated Production Operators for our Sweetwater, TX facility. The role offers 12-hour rotating shifts on days and nights with weekends and overtime as needed. Day shift is 7am-7pm; night shift is 7pm-7am. Pay is $27.00/hr.

The team produces gypsum-based products; you will operate equipment, monitor control systems, troubleshoot to optimize production, and perform basic asset care while ensuring safety and quality in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, energy, warehouse, or military environment, or completion of post high school education in manufacturing, industrial, or a related field.
Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.
Experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems.
Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
Perform basic asset care duties, including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area.
Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
Operate and/or work around mobile equipment ranging from forklifts to heavy equipment.

Our Sweetwater facility has a rich history producing gypsum-based products for a wide variety of customers. Georgia-Pacific’s Building Products business is consistently among the nation’s top suppliers of building products to large warehouse retailers and building materials dealers.

Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
