Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is seeking motivated individuals for a Production Associate role at the Blue Rapids, KS facility. You will operate equipment, monitor control systems, and troubleshoot to meet safety and quality targets while supporting a team-focused work environment.

The role requires the ability to perform demanding tasks on a 12-hour shift, with weekend/holiday overtime and pay starting at $24.32/hour plus shift differentials. Training and opportunities for growth are offered.

• At least 6 months of previous work experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.

• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care including preventive maintenance and cleaning of work area.

• Maintain adherence to safety rules, including wearing safety equipment.
• Perform physically demanding tasks in a loud industrial environment for up to 12 hours.

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is seeking motivated and safety-oriented individuals to join our team as Production Associate at our Blue Rapids, KS facility.

This position creates value by supporting our operations team in the continuous manufacturing our of plasters product. Shift:

• 12-hour shifts (must be available for ANY shift) - includes weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Shift placement will be determined upon business need at time of hire

Compensation:

• Starting compensation is $24.32/hr. and shift differential (2nd Shift $1.00 more and 3rd Shift $2.00 more)

What You Will Do

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• At least 6 months of previous work experience

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
• Experience operating a motorized forklift, clamp truck or industrial equipment
• Experience working with automated or robotic equipment and machinery
• Experience troubleshooting equipment
• Experience working with construction materials i.e.: lumber, gypsum, plaster, brick, insulation, etc.
