A regional processing company is looking for a motivated Production Operator to support daily operations in their steel coil processing facility in Houston. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience in a steel or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine setup and operation.
Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and with a team.
Comfortable working in a physically demanding, industrial setting.
Responsibilities
Assist in the operation of production and coil processing machinery.
Perform slitter head setups as directed by lead operators.
Support equipment maintenance and troubleshooting efforts as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace by performing routine 5S activities.
Assist with coil handling and material flow during processing.
Move between production cells as necessary to support workload demands.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE use and safe material handling.
Conduct basic quality checks and report any non-conformances to leadership.
Communicate effectively with operators, team leads, and maintenance personnel.
