Job description

The production operator will be responsible for following SOPs (standard operating procedures) to ensure the highest quality production of our aluminum sheet. Operators will operate heavy equipment to transfer scrap aluminum, ingots, or coils to the appropriate location.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately
• Operate mobile equipment and machine operations to support the APU’s process and procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail and precision, and have good, effective communication
• Perform other general tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Must be able to pass a basic skills assessment (Reading comprehension, Math, Inspection and measuring, and Monitoring/Problem solving)
• Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Excellent attendance and safety record
• Must be willing to work in a tobacco-free environment
• Must be able to work in a factory/manufacturing environment with exposure to heat/cold conditions
• All offers are contingent upon successfully completing pre-placement testing (background screen, drug screen, and physical)
