Job summary

Valeo North America is seeking a Production Operator for a full-time site-based role in Reno, NV. Candidates will follow safety instructions, wear PPE, and participate in 5S practices while contributing to continuous improvement in autonomous production zones.

The position requires lifting 20–50 pounds daily and adherence to quality standards, with opportunities to engage in VPS workshops and safety initiatives across a global engineering team.

Qualifications

• Understand safety instructions and PPE requirements.
• Maintain 5S at workstation and ensure clean, organized area.
• Detect safety, quality or efficiency deviations and stop work when needed.
• Daily ability to lift 20–50 pounds as part of production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first level maintenance (PMs) and first piece inspections at shift start.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Alert team lead to supply shortages, and communicate needs during and after shifts.
• Participate in VPS workshops and contribute to autonomous production zones improvements.
• Support continuous improvement efforts in APZ and follow QRQC procedures.
