Job summary

USG seeks a plant operator to run stucco drying and calcining equipment, monitor processes, and respond to upsets to minimize hazards and quality issues. The role requires operating auxiliary machinery like front-end loaders and trucks, along with routine maintenance tasks.

You will be expected to follow all safety rules, read JSA/VWI documents, and perform housekeeping to keep the area clean. Overtime and flexible scheduling may be required to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• Must follow all plant, department and safety rules.
• Must read and understand JSA/VWI for this area.
• Must be trained to safely follow LOTO and Confined Space procedures for all equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate stucco drying equipment.
• Operate calcining equipment.
• Identify upset conditions and respond to minimize hazards and quality deviations.
• Operate front-end loaders and dump truck.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Participate in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
