- Rate of Pay: $24/hour PLUS Quarterly Bonuses!
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
- This position is located in Lawton, OK

This Position Requires a Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement!!In particular, you will:
  • Identify, sort and palletize cylinders by size and product for efficient refilling and handling.

  • Operate forklift and safely load / unload compressed gas and liquid cylinders to and from delivery vehicles.

  • Perform visual inspections of empty cylinders. Hammer and odor test empty cylinders as required.

  • Report any equipment or facility defects to supervisor.

  • Complete activity / deficiency reports as required.

  • Replace safety valves on cylinders.

  • Remove and replace labels on cylinders as required.

  • Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations and safety procedures.

  • Work safely and meet the requirements of all safety procedures and rules as prescribed by State, Federal, and the Company.

Drive truck (as a relief driver) with a capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, as needed :

  • Deliver compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard-goods to other Airgas branch locations.

  • Communicate in person with internal customers, providing information ordering and delivery times, etc.

  • Maintains load manifests and all other vehicle documents ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.

  • Accurately maintain records such as Department of Transportation Driver's Log and vehicle logs according to state and federal regulations.

  • Picks up empty cylinders from branch locations and returns them to the plant for refilling following all federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Operates a forklift, pallet jack or other warehouse equipment in order to load and unload trucks following all company policies and procedures.

  • Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, document deficiencies and all equipment is in safe and good working order.

  • Picks up empty cylinders from branch locations and returns them to the plant for refilling following all federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Valid OK Class A Commercial Driver's License.

  • Valid Medical Examiner's Card.

  • Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.

  • Must have one (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.

  • At least one full year of experience driving a Class A Tractor Trailer under DOT requirements within the last 5 year.

  • In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school.

  • Must be at least 21 years or older.

  • Ability to participate and maintain customers' safety credentials to be able to enter the assigned sites.

  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

  • Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.

  • This position requires working in all weather conditions.

  • Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification.

  • Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary.
