Aerotek is hiring a Production Operator in Pontiac, MI to operate manufacturing equipment producing automotive components in a climate-controlled facility. You will follow work instructions, inspect parts, and assemble products, supporting continuous production and on-time order completion.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork with shifts across early morning to overnight hours. Steel-toe footwear is required from day one, and a contract-to-hire pathway offers growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 pounds repetitively and perform bending and squatting as needed.
• Ability to stand for the full shift in a production environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
• Capable of using hand tools and power tools safely on the line.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and quality alerts.
• Basic measurement and quality-check capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Feed and run machinery on the production line per work instructions.
• Inspect parts using defined quality criteria and meet specs.
• Assemble products following detailed instructions and standards.
• Support in the production area to maintain efficient workflow.
• Monitor process and report issues promptly.
• Perform basic quality checks and testing for conformity.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe work area.
• Pack final product according to packaging requirements.
• Communicate with coworkers to ensure on-time order completion.
• Adhere to safety standards and participate in training.
