Job summary

Detroit Defense is seeking a Production Operator for our Sterling Heights, MI facility. You will perform a variety of assembly tasks, support lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives, and collaborate with Design, Materials, and PM teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to evolving customer demands. Mon-Fri from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with occasional overtime; starting pay is $18/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain US Secret Security Clearance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience reading manufacturing documents and applying procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble brake kits per work instructions.
• Support lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Work closely with Design, Materials, PM functions.
• Identify and assist in resolving problems with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor with supervision.
• Complete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
