Job summary

Balchem Corporation is seeking a Production Operator to perform powder mixing and sanitation tasks in a safe, compliant manner. The role focuses on following SOPs, maintaining equipment quality, and supporting production readiness.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, the ability to learn procedures, and strong written communication. Training will cover safety, GMP practices, and confined-space rules.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical knowledge and ability for minor equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Must be able to learn and master procedures and equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to write clearly and in an organized fashion.

Responsibilities

• Set up all operational parameters and related equipment before Production start-up as described in the SOP.
• Operate equipment during production to maintain powder quality and consistency per SOP requirements.
• Shut down machinery and related equipment safely as described in the SOP.
• Clean all equipment and surfaces; follow GMP sanitation techniques to sanitize product contact surfaces.
• Complete checklists for operating and cleaning equipment.
• Maintain peak operating efficiency of all equipment.
• Keep work areas clean, neat, and dry during the shift.
• Attend all mandated training sessions (Safety, GMP, etc.).
• Follow Confined Space regulations.
• Submit and complete work orders for maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by plant management.
