Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate production equipment, load gaskets, package products for shipment, inspect quality, and record measurements while following SOPs to meet pipe standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable English words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Basic math with dollars, weights, volumes, and distances.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple written or oral instructions and to work with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment within assigned cell or area.
• Load gaskets and package end products for shipment.
• Visually inspect product for quality assurance purposes.
• Measure and record pipe dimensions.
• Follow SPC and SOPs to maintain pipe specifications.
• Move bundled pipe from work area and manage scrap/good product.
• Assist in start-up activities and changeovers.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Relieve and assist other operators as needed.
• Work as a team with other personnel.
