Job summary

Keystone Industries is seeking a Production Operator - Nozzle Assemblies in Gibbstown, NJ. The 1st shift runs 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, with a starting hourly rate of $18.25 based on experience.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience, strong English communication, and GMP discipline. Responsibilities include reading work orders, labeling, packaging, setting up equipment, recording batch data, and supporting QA/QC.

Qualifications

  • 0-1 year of experience in production/manufacturing.
  • Strong English communication to follow procedures.
  • Strong documentation to GMP standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail with quality focus.
  • Solid mathematical ability for unit conversions.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team setting or independently.

Responsibilities

  • Read and fulfill work orders and record batch data.

Title:Production Operator - Nozzle Assemblies
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing/production experience.
Schedule: 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
Location:Gibbstown, NJ (08027)
Salary Range: $18.25 hourly, based on experience and qualifications.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Read and fulfill work orders and fulfill order demands with instruction and supervision; accurately recording information on batch cards.
  • Responsible for packaging a variety of products through staging, labeling, and packaging tasks.
  • Verify labels for specific item numbers, lot numbers, etc.
  • Set-up and/or operation of mechanical equipment and printers; observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of assembled units.
  • Record and maintain production data such as meter readings, quantities, and types of assemblies.
  • Record proper transactions on the batch card when consuming components and materials for production assembly.
  • Assist in performing QA and QC checks (torque, labels, containers, packaging) when designated by Supervisor.
  • Assist in equipment adjustments, as necessary, to maintain proper product quality control with supervision.
  • Cleaning equipment as required to maintain effective and efficient operation.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties; maintain clean workspace and follow procedures for cleaning of floors and surfaces per detailed procedures.
  • Assist in spill clean-up, following designated procedures as instructed by Supervision.
  • Involvement with waste handling processes: dispose of waste in appropriate containers and fill out appropriate waste logs.
  • Perform additional duties/tasks as needed or requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • 0-1-year experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal) to understand and follow procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong documentation skills; proficient in reading and completing batch cards to GMP standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Strong mathematical skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide various units of measure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment or independently.
  • Must be capable of wearing all required protective gear and adhering to all PPE.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime, as needed.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ability to transact inventory using a handheld scan gun with lot/batch numbers, quantities, and item/part numbers.
  • ERP/MRP software experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Education/Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Complies with all safety regulations; maintains a safe work environment at all times.
  • Adheres to always wearing the proper PPE/Safety equipment.
  • Understands and complies with all written safety, health, and environmental procedures.
  • Attends all required scheduled Health, Safety and Environmental training sessions.

  • Perform required administrative functions related to Health, Safety and Environmental functions such as completing forms, checklists, and log sheets.

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk; stand; sit; use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb; and occasionally lift/move up to 15 pounds, and seldomly lift/move up to 50 pounds. In addition, may seldomly be required to maneuver and move 30 to 55-gallon drums and up to 450 pounds utilizing proper ergonomic handling equipment and/or the proper techniques.
  • Work Environment: This position is located in a manufacturing facility. Employees frequently work near moving mechanical equipment. Noise intensity level: moderate to loud. Employees may work with hazardous contaminants. Additionally, employees may be exposed to ultrasonic equipment. Employees must adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
